Unearthing the Journey of Feldspar
Feldspar is one of the most widely used industrial minerals in the production of ceramics, glass, and tiles. It is a naturally occurring mineral mainly made of aluminum silicates along with elements such as potassium, sodium, or calcium. The typical chemical composition of feldspar is KAlSi₃O₈ – NaAlSi₃O₈ – CaAl₂Si₂O₈, which makes this mineral suitable for many industrial applications.
In the manufacturing industry, feldspar is valued for its strong fluxing properties that help reduce the melting temperature of raw materials during the firing process. This not only improves production efficiency but also enhances the strength, durability, and surface finish of the final products.
